About the Artist... |

|
The
Celtic Fiddlers are a performing group that
consists of drums including the bodhran, a
keyboard, guitar, bass Irish tin whistle, and many
violins. The group practices every week and enjoys
learning new pieces of music, especially the songs
and jigs and reels of their Irish ancestors. Their
debut CD “Passage”, has been determined to
demonstrate to others, particularly our youth,
that our traditional music is of utmost importance
and should be a part of our everyday education and
enjoyment.
The Celtic Fiddlers second
CD, “The Sea in Our Eyes” represents the link
between Newfoundland and Ireland, the sea. The
relationship is very evident in the music, lyrics,
dance and poetry. The CD was a labour of love, a
blend and study of our Celtic and Newfoundland
roots. The Celtic Fiddlers, are proud of their
cultural heritage and the ancestors who brought
this legacy to Newfoundland’s shores from
Ireland. This CD is dedicated to all those people
whose music, creativity, and memories have
resulted in the rich traditions that make our
island so unique.
“...A Time for Christmas”,
the newest CD for The Celtic Fiddlers, contains
twelve traditional Christmas selections.
