Affectionately
known as “The Man Of A Thousand Songs”, Ron
Hynes is widely acknowledged as one of this
country’s premiere singer songwriters. He is a
five time Peoples Choice Award winner, five time
ECMA winner, a Gemini Award winner and a past JUNO
and CCMA nominee, with six solo albums and
numerous collaborative recordings to his credit.
He holds an Honorary Doctorate from Memorial
University for his songwriting and contribution to
the cultural life of Newfoundland, and was
recipient of the prestigious Arts Achievement
Award from the Newfoundland Arts Council in
2004. Ron’s latest release, Get Back
Change (Borealis/Koch), produced by Paul
Mills, won the 2004 East Coast Music Award for
both Country Recording Of The Year and Album
Of The Year.

world including Valdy, Emmylou Harris, Murray
McLauchlan, Christy Moore, Mary Black, Denny
Doherty, Terry Kelly, Prairie Oyster, Susan
Aglukark, The Good Brothers, The Ennis Sisters,
John McDermott, Shaye and many more.
