About the Artist...    
Merry Christmas everybody and thanks for picking up Volume “4” of the “Big Newfoundland Tunes” CD Collection taken from the music played on the “Banks of Newfoundland Radio Show”. Volume 4 is the “Christmas” CD with some of the best Newfoundland Christmas songs ever recorded.

The high “energy” of any Reg Brown recording comes through beautifully in “Souped Up Snowmobile”. Chris Gill a native of Corner Brook, NF now makes Halifax his home, shows the power of his talents in this CD. Jr. Walsh - known as the “Silver Fox” of Newfoundland music does a great job on an old standard “Santa Looks a Lot Like Daddy”. Brian Burton recorded “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer” way back in the 80’s.

A. Frank Willis is one of our most well known Newfoundland Artists and “Hello Mom and Dad” is one of his finest works. Lee Sheppard’s style, voice and the words of this great Christmas song that will make you like it. Bugs Greene with his accordion and fiddle skills are legendary, along with his wife Debbie and son Evan, make the “Newfoundland Ode to Christmas” great! Bob Porter one of the best Newfoundland music writer and singer combinations wrote “It’ll Be a Merry Christmas Cause You’re Here” especially for “Big Newfoundland Tunes” Christmas CD - and it’ll add life to your Memories of Christmas as a child. If you’re missing someone at this festive time, Angus Doucette’s “Lonesome Christmas” is a haunting Christmas song. “It’s Christmas Eve” is a combination of Bill Bartlett’s thoughts and things he has heard by others that express the Sentiment of the Season. Gary Warren does a great job in his “Cuttin’ Up Slabs” it is his way of cuttin’ the cost of power to the people of Newfoundland. The last selection on the great CD is a 27 minute long New Years Eve Party, complete with the New Year countdown so it could be apart of your Party, your Celebration of the New Year.
